MINUTES of a Meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE held at the Council Rooms, Grants Lane,
Wedmore

4. Minutes. The minutes of the meeting held on 14th July 2021 had been circulated. It was agreed that
they should be signed by the Chairman
5. Planning Applications –

Proposal: Erection of two-storey agricultural building with home office and store on first floor, on site of existing
barn (to be demolished) and removal of exusting mobile home and storage containers.
Location: Bluebell Farm, lane between West Stoughton and Ashton Wedmore BS28 4ES

COMMENT: Object. The Council does not accept that the design of the proposed building is “agricultural” but more
of a residential design. While the Council supports home offices in general, this proposal is unacceptable due to the
scale and location.

Proposal: Erection of a dwelling on site of existing agricultural building to be demolished. Change of use of land
from agricultural to class C3 (garden land) and change of use of an existing agricultural building to class B8 (general
storage) use.

COMMENT: No observation but the Council has concerns over the location of the proposed treatment plant and the
lack of adequate screening to Lockyers Farm.
