WEDMORE PARISH COUNCIL
MINUTES of a Meeting of the PLANNING COMMITTEE held by ZOOM video conferencing
on Wednesday 10th March 2021 at 7.30.pm
Present: Mrs S Worrall (Chairman), Mrs I Beacom, Mrs P Costello, Mrs G Cousins, Mr D Cox,
Mrs B James-Lloyd, Mr D Kirley, Mr A Landers, Mr A Smith, Mr P Tinney,
Attendance – Nil
Due to the non-availability of the Clerk notes were recorded by Cllr Cousins

1. Apologies for absence – Mrs J Candy
2. Declarations of Interest – Nil
3. District Council members – Cllr Costello was meeting with Acorn developers on 11th March, Cllr
Worrall suggested asking them to increase the number of properties to rent.
4. Minutes. The minutes of the meeting held on 10th February 2021 contained an amendment relating to
Cllr James-Lloyd’s declaration of interest. They were confirmed and would be signed later.

COMMENT: Support. The proposed garage will remove the current roadside parking and improve safety and traffic
flow

COMMENT: Support. The Council supports the application on environmental grounds. The proposal will greatly
increase the efficiency of this low carbon heating system.

7. Matters of Report and Items for the Next Meeting – Cllr Tinney said that a resident had asked for
advice from the Parish Council regarding developing a small plot of land on which to build a house. It was
suggested the resident contacts the Planning Department at Sedgemoor for some pre-planning advice.
